empowering charter schools

It is Hollis’ passion to understand the unique cognitive underpinnings of each learner’s triumphs and challenges.
With this information she can create targeted interventions and solutions to facilitate joyful learning and student success.
Her goal is for students to understand their own learning profile in order to self advocate and for them to learn strategies that they can apply independently for a lifetime.

"Ms Dannaham's style invites curiosity and ignites her student's previously lost enthusiasm for learning."

About Hollis

Hollis Dannaham, FounderHollis Dannaham knows first hand what it feels like to struggle in school. When she was 11 years old, she was told that she would never go to college because of a learning disability. This early experience sparked in her a determination and drive that continues to this day. If she had allowed this professionally placed boundary to define her, she would not have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master's degree in Elementary and Special Education, and a Master of Education degree in School Leadership and Administration. More importantly, she would not have had the opportunity to empower hundreds of children who also faced learning challenges.

In order to better serve her students, Hollis pursued further professional development in the following programs: Preventing Academic Failure (an Orton-Gillingham based reading program), Lindamood-Bell (a reading program that focuses on developing sensory-cognitive processes), Teaching Basic Writing Skills, Self Regulation Strategy Development, Singapore Math, and training in neurodevelopment functions and learning.

Hollis has a proven record of improving academic performance and raising the self-confidence of struggling learners. Click here to see her resume (PDF).

Hollis has been published in the journal Jewish Educational Leadership (download PDF).

"In my whole high school and college career, I haven't had a teacher who has inspired me as you have. I don't think I would be where I am today if it wasn't for you. Thank you!"
— Ryan, former student
